Society Whiskey Tastings

There are plenty of whisky tasting events around Kansas City, but you’ll have a hard time finding a better lineup of allocated bottles from premiere distillers than Whiskey Wednesdays at Society. We’ve done them before, but 2024 brings whiskey tasting events to Society from some of the biggest names in the business.

On the last Wednesday of every month, come take part in one of the best whiskey events around town from 6 – 9 p.m. in the Scarlet Room for just $20 by booking ahead of time or buying a ticket at Society.

Upcoming Whiskey Tasting Events Near You

We like to highlight a specific distillery at each of our tastings. You’ll be led through a tasting that highlights distinct notes from each distillery and each bottle.

While you’re here, you can also purchase pours from our illustrious collection at the Scarlet Room bar, including bottles like Buffalo Trace, Blanton’s, Sazerac Rye, and if you look all the way up top… is that a Pappy Van Winkle? Come in and find out.

Ben Holladay Whiskey Tasting

On Wednesday, June 26, Weston-based Holladay Distillery will be the first whiskey event calendar participant.

Holladay Distillery was founded in 1856 and has expanded and grown in the years since. It is currently operated by McCormick Distilling Company.

Don’t forget to purchase tickets here to experience this popular local whiskey!

Rabbit Hole Whiskey Tasting

Rabbit Hole Distillery is the third guest of our whiskey events in 2024.

They use signature malted grains and mature their whiskey in toasted and charred barrels with small batches of no more than 15 barrels at a time.

Rabbit Hole Distillery will be at society on July 31.

Old Forester with La Cultura on the Patio Whiskey Tasting

Old Forester is located in Louisville, KY, and creator George Garvin Brown sealed his whiskey exclusively in glass bottles. It was presented at 90 proof as “America’s first bottled bourbon” in 1870.

For this special whiskey tasting, we are partnering with La Cultura Cigar & Social to show off some of their premium offerings, many of which pair nicely with Old Forester and other whiskeys.

Buy tickets online and come check it out on Sept. 25.

Union Horse Whiskey Tasting

Union Horse will be in town for our whiskey tasting event on Oct. 30.

Established in 2010, Union Horse Distilling Company is a family owned and operated distillery right here in Kansas City.

Wild Turkey Whiskey Tasting

Wild Turkey is yet another Kentucky-based distillery we are hosting for our whiskey tasting events.

The name comes from a distillery executive sharing his bourbon with friends on an annual hunting trip in 1940 hunting, you guessed it, wild turkey.
