Salsa Dancing on Friday Nights in Kansas City

Friday’s Latin Night starts at 10 p.m. and goes until close too, where you can enjoy the same Happy Hour specials, minus the street tacos, to get ready for some Friday salsa dancing.

Keep an eye out for other house margarita, tequila and beer bucket specials that are planned for the summer too.

If those Happy Hour specials don’t scratch the itch, there are standout items all up and down the menu you can enjoy, from our California rolls to our spicy Cajun chicken pasta.

With 12 house cocktails and a bevy of beers, wines and mocktails, you can find the perfect libations here.

Whether you’re looking for salsa dancing on Wednesday night or dancing to Bachata on a Friday night, Latin Night at Society has you covered.

First Time Salsa Dancing?

Latin Night at Society is a great time for everyone – beginners and experts alike. If you’re new to salsa dancing, we know it can be intimidating. But don’t worry about it. This is a fun, welcoming environment. We love first-timers learning how to salsa dance.

If that’s you, here are a few tips to keep in mind:

  • Master the basics: Spend time practicing the footwork, body movement and weight transfer that make salsa dancing what it is. Practice makes perfect, and keeping an eye on your posture and balance while dancing can help you pick it up.
  • Embrace the music: Salsa music has structure and accents. Listening to a wide variety of salsa music can help familiarize yourself with different instruments and rhythms used.
  • Connect with your partner: Salsa dancing is a partnership. Develop your lead and follow techniques by talking about it and trusting their role in helping create a seamless dance.
  • Relax and have fun: No matter if you have a little experience with salsa dancing or are brand new, remember this is for fun! Don’t worry about not understanding the moves or feeling uncoordinated if it’s your first or second-time salsa dancing.
